The merlot grapes are grown on 15 year
old vines in melozal in the heart of the
maule valley. the training system used is
a double crosspiece and are tied in with
a knotted cord. the harvest produces
10,000 kg per hectare. the wine’s
composition is 90 % merlot and 10%
cabernet sauvignon.
WINE MAKING PROCESS /gentle desteming
and crushing of the berries. cold
maceration for 10 hrs. direct application
of selected yeast during the fermentation
taking place at temperatures of 24ºc over
an 11 day period. 100% natural malolactic
fermentation
AGEING IN BARREL: the wine is unoaked .

TASTING NOTES /this wine has an intense
violet red colour. a strong fruity aroma
that brings to mind, plums, blackcurrants,
raspberries with underlying violet and
clovey notes. on the palate, mature fruit
and chocolate tones stand out
incorporated into a great bodied wine.
a pleasantly persistent but enjoyable
finish.
FOOD AND DRINK PAIRING / enjoy with
turkey casseroles, partridge, pastas in
tomato sauce, paellas, pizzas and gruyére
cheese. serve at room temperature, ideally
18-20ºc.
